Used car auction centre in Tubli

Amid heated discussions, which were further accentuated by faulty air conditioners, Capital Municipality yesterday approved a proposal to establish a public action centre in Tubli. The auction centre, which will be established in block 713, according to the committee, will help the general public to buy certified used cars in a much better and professional environment. This, the committee said, would help increase the revenues and avoid displaying used cars on sidewalks and public streets. The move is also expected to revive the used car market in the Kingdom and help citizens obtain guaranteed cars in a convenient manner as well as all services under a single roof.
The session altogether approved seven proposals out of the eight submitted which includes that for naming street No. 22 in Alfateh area compound 324 in the name of Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa.
Discussions were held on a proposal to establish a committee to ensuring safety practices during construction, demolition or while renovating buildings. This, the committee said, would help protect the lives and property of the people. A framework will be established based on the experiences of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the Emirate of Dubai.
