Expat found dead in Hoora

An Indian man was found murdered in his apartment in Hoora on Tuesday evening. Sources said the deceased identified as Abdul Nahas, an Indian national from the state of Kerala, was found lying in a pool of his blood in his apartment located on Exhibition Road. 

Teams of police immediately rushed to the scene and the body was moved to Salmaniya Medical Complex morgue, the sources added. “Teams of police have been questioning people in the locality the whole day. Forensic team were also in action,” said a resident in the locality. “It was his friends who informed the police after finding him dead in the room,” the resident said. 

An unmarried man, Abdul came to Bahrain four years ago. His immediate survivors include mother Ramla, father Abdullakutty, brother Anas and sister Najma. Speaking to Tribune, Saheer, a relative of the deceased, said he was shocked after knowing the incident. “We tried calling him many times over the phone and came here to check on him. We found his body in the apartment. We are cooperating with the police. “We want the police to complete the investigation and arrest all those who are behind this murder,” he added. The Interior Ministry did not confirm the incident before press time.
