Distribution of Al Lawzi housing units begins
The Housing Ministry said that it had started distributing the units of Al Lawzi housing project to beneficiaries. This follows the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to distribute 5,000 housing units, within the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to meet the citizens’ needs marking the holy month of Ramadan, and in line with the ongoing efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to continue implementing its action plan.
Commenting on the move, Housing Minister, Bassem Al Hamer, said that the distribution process will continue until the end of next week. He pointed out that the distribution of the project’s units proves the success of the existing partnership with the private sector, adding that Al Lawzi, and the Salman Town, are among the projects covered by the agreement with Naseej Properties - company that is constructing affordable and social housing on government-owned lands. He affirmed that the remarkable progress of the Al Lawzi project’s implementation process and the beginning of the distribution of its units encourages the Housing Ministry to increase its cooperation with private companies to launch more housing projects for low-income citizens.
