Students of Abdulrahman Kanoo school completes the renovation of first home in Muharraq

Plans are on the anvil to implement the initiative ‘#Your_Country_First’ in as many schools as possible in the Kingdom, it was announced. “We have directed the Minister of Education, Dr Majid Al Nuaimi, to implement the initiative #Your_Country_First in partnership with our media office to include as many as possible public and private schools in Bahrain,” said HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa while addressing students of Abdulrahman Kanoo International School. This, HH Shaikh Khalid said, will help activate youth in supporting the comprehensive development of the society.

HH Shaikh Khalid , the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA), Honourary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, was inaugurating the first project done by the students of Abdulrahman Kanoo International School as part of the #Your_Country_first initiative.

A team of students renovated a ramshackle house in the Muharraq governorate as part of the initiative. It took them about four months to complete the project, which includes furnishing the house. Present during the visit was Minister of Education Dr Majid Al Nuaimi, Minister of Youth and Sports Hisham Al Jowder along with several senior officials in the Kingdom.  On the occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid assured the students that the government “will continue to implement comprehensive development projects across all sectors by launching targeted initiatives promoting joint responsibility among the members of society
