Saudi mishap victims are recovering at SMC
Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh yesterday paid a visit to the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) to get assured about the health situation of eight people who had been injured during a recent tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia. The injured were received by the Health Ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr Waleed Al Manae, on arrival at the Bahrain International Airport. The minister visited the Short Stay Unit, where she met the injured and their relatives.
She urged doctors and nurses to continue providing them with all necessary care and treatment. Ms Al Saleh met all patients who had been injured during the tragic bus accident, and was informed about the treatment they have received so far in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, wishing them speedy recovery. She stressed that they would receive all necessary care and treatment until they recover fully
The minister also inspected the units and equipment that had been prepared to receive all those injured in the accident, commending the tremendous efforts exerted by all the Health Ministry’s affiliates to follow-up on the health situation of the injured. She stressed that taking care of Bahrainis, wherever they are, is among the priorities of the government.
The Health Ministry’s Undersecretary, while meeting 12 people who had been wounded at the bus accident, highlighted the government’s constant keenness to take care of Bahrainis in Bahrain or abroad, noting that the Ministry had activated an emergency plan as soon as the tragic accident happened to provide all necessary treatment for the injured and ensure their safe return.
