Bahraini man on trial for murdering girlfriend
An argument that erupted between a Filipino woman and her Bahraini boyfriend led to her murder, the court heard. The woman was found dead in her apartment after she was reported missing by her friend, who informed police officers of her disappearance. The victim’s body was in a terrible condition at the time it was recovered, according to court files.
A medical report indicated that one of the victim’s eyes were ripped out of its socket, but the death was attributed to a cut in the neck. “I killed her owing to a disagreement. I cut her throat during a fight,” the 28-year-old Bahraini man told prosecutors. Shockingly, the Bahraini man ripped her eyes out of the socket after he maimed her body, the details say.
The defendant was nabbed after his mobile number appeared among the dialled numbers of the victim’s phone. The 28-year-old man is standing trial before the High Criminal Court which will be hearing the testimonies of medical doctors on September 11, 2018. The defendant has been charged with murder.
