Five years jail for Sitra arsonists
Five defendants convicted of torching a car in Sitra were sentenced to five years in jail. The convicts, according to court details, set the car on fire in the middle of the road to hinder traffic and spread fear among citizens and residents.
According to official records, the fifth defendant was the one who provided petrol to torch the vehicle. “We poured petrol on the back seat, set it alight and fled the scene,” the first defendant told prosecutors. The defendants were convicted of arson. Four of the defendants were sentenced in absentia because they are still large.
