Necklace snatcher jailed for three years
Pedestrians thwarted a robber’s attempt to snatch necklace from a Bahraini woman, it was revealed. The crime was committed by a 33-year-old Indian man who attempted to snatch the necklace from the woman while she was walking in Manama, before fleeing the scene. However, people walking in the same area ran after him and nabbed him.
According to court files, she resisted him and he fell to the ground.
The 33-year-old Indian was tried before the High Criminal Court which sentenced him to three years behind bars, followed by deportation from the Kingdom.
