Two blazes extinguished
Special teams from the Civil Defence put out fire at two different locations in the Kingdom yesterday. A fire broke out yesterday morning in Mahooz.
Sources said the fire erupted at a building near Tropicana Hotel and 30 employees were evacuated from the office of a construction company. “Eleven vehicles and 38 personnel of Civil Defence were involved in extinguishing fire at a building in Mahooz.
None was injured in the fire accident, while investigations are on to find the cause that led to the fire,” said Interior Ministry yesterday.
The second fire accident occurred at a labour camp in Salmabad.
Sources said the entire camp was destroyed in the fire and it is suspected that a electric short circuit led to the fire. “We, around 35 labourers, were living in the camp. Now we don’t have a place to go,” said a labourer. Investigations are being carried out as to what led to the fire.
