Alleged member of Islamic State threaten to behead cop
An alleged member of the Islamic State (IS) has lost his appeal against a month’s imprisonment for threatening police officers.
The defendant was put on trial in a separate case other than being an IS member after he pledged to behead officers who went to arrest him.
He was charged with threatening the Ministry of Interior’s employees while trying to carry out their duties. The defendant was among 24 men who were convicted of joining IS in Bahrain.
The defendants received jail terms between 10 and 15 years and all of them had their Bahraini nationality revoked.
