Jailed for attacking Jau prison guards
The High Criminal Court handed down a man a jail term of one-year for attacking two prison guards in the Jau Prison.
The suspect, during a hearing, told the court that he got provoked when the guards denied him entry into his cell as wanted to pray.
The incident, according to court files, took place in a pre-trial detention centre of the Ministry of Interior in Jau Prison, where the man was in custody.
Prison guards, during the trial, told the court that the 20-year-old suspect assaulted them as they tried to inspect for allowing entry to his cell.
