Man gets hurt while breaking up fight
A GCC man while trying to break up a fight was hit with a rock on his forehead, according to court files. The quarrel occurred at dawn near a local hotel, and the GCC man had to pay a big price for his good deed.
“When I left the hotel in the early morning hours, I saw two people fighting. I tried to end the fight so they don’t harm each other. But one of them threw a rock on my forehead,” the victim told prosecutors. The incident was witnessed by a member of the Bahraini Special Forces, who rushed to help the injured man.
“As soon as he was hit, the fighters fled the scene, leaving him unconscious,” he said. They were arrested later. They faced a trial before the High Criminal Court, which sentenced one of them to three years behind bars, while the other man received six months jail.
