Asian salesman jailed for theft
An Asian salesman serving a local company was jailed for pocketing the money after selling home appliances.
His misconduct was discovered after an audit was performed on the company’s inventory. It was found that the Asian man sold two devices for a combined amount of BD1,000 and he pocketed the money.
He also stole two mobile phones from his shop, according to police records. He stood trial before the High Criminal Court which sentenced him to three months behind bars, followed by immediate deportation.
