Festival to celebrate dates season
Manama : Celebrating the dates season, the National Initiative for the Development of the Agriculture Sector will organise the cultural and heritage festival under the title ‘Khairat Alnakhla’ on July 27 and 28.
The festival will be held in collaboration with the Bahrain Development Bank Group and the Agriculture and Marine Resources within the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning. The festival aims to encourage local palm products including varieties of dates. It also aims at boosting competition among farmers.
The festival will also shed light on Bahrain’s ancient heritage and the role of artisans. Various entertainment activities will also be organised for children at the festival, which will be held between 10 am and 6 pm.
