House team holds special meeting for discussing pension proposals
Manama : The House of Representatives team attending the joint committee meeting to discuss the amendments to the pension laws met yesterday to exchange opinions before conveying their proposals to the Government.
The group headed by First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi discussed issues encompassing all issues related to the amendments and future course of action. The group reiterated its stance, rejecting the proposed amendments as it will harm the interest of citizens and the Bahraini society.
“The team will not accept anything that will undermine the power of Legislative Authorities in the Kingdom,” a source said. The group will meet Justice Minister today with an aim to iron out differences between the Legislative Authority and the Government over reforming the pension schemes.
