Scattered feelings between the stars

Reem N Alomari, the 24-year-old writer who recently published her first book ‘Between the Stars’ is a true inspiration to many budding writers in the Kingdom.

Speaking to Tribune, Reem said it was the love for reading and literature that shaped the author in her. “I’ve always wanted to write a book, even before I was into reading. I remember when I was a kid; one of my wishes was to publish a book and to have a book out there in the world with my name on it. I tried writing my first novel back in 2014 with my cousin.

We worked on a few chapters but then we had to stop the project for personal reasons. “I attempted multiple times to write a book but never had the courage to publish until June 2017, and since then I worked really hard to bring my first book to reality. Thus on my 24th birthday, I published my first book.”

“Between The Stars is a collection of thoughts, fictional anecdotes and blackout poetry. It is not just a reading material and more of an interactive tool for the readers that will allow them to pour down their unfiltered feelings in the forms of creative writing, illustrations, drawings and more. The book is written in such a way that it would give a reader the chance to collaborate with me and my thoughts.”
