GCC national woman granted divorce from Bahraini husband
A GCC national woman, allegedly deserted by her husband, has been granted divorce by the court. The plaintiff got married to her Bahraini husband but lived in her hometown after the latter pledged to visit her regularly.
However, he didn’t live up to his commitment, forcing the woman to seek a divorce. “My client had a tough time because of her husband’s wrong attitude. He would cite financial excuses for not visiting her regularly,” said the plaintiff’s lawyer Ibtisam Al Sabagh.
