Pakistani barber jailed for embezzling BD1,500
A Pakistani barber was jailed after being convicted of stealing BD1,500 from his employer. He also stole a refrigerator and other material owned by his employer while the latter was visiting abroad. “I was abroad for one month, and when I returned I discovered that my employee had stolen BD1,518 and a refrigerator worth BD60 and other materials worth BD50,” the owner told prosecutors. The Pakistani man admitted to committing the crime.
He was tried before the High Criminal Court, which awarded a three months jail. The convict will be deported once he completes the sentence.
