Single website for all ministries soon
Manama : A website combining all ministries and government authorities is being planned, Tribune has learnt. The unified website comes as part of the efforts of the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This was revealed during a press conference held at Bahrain Financial Harbour yesterday to launch the new website of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry.
Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Al Zayani deputised Resources and Services Assistant Undersecretary Abdulaziz Alashraaf to inaugurate the website. During the conference, Mr Alashraaf confirmed to Tribune that a new website will soon combine all ministries as part of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision to facilitate the services of the government provided to its citizens, residents and visitors. However, the official didn’t specify a time frame to implement the plan, which he referred to as “a matter being studied by the government”.
As for the ministry’s new website, the minister said in a speech recorded on the occasion of the launch, “The ministry plays an important role in the shaping of the Bahraini economy, and that’s through the fields of industry, commerce and tourism. While building the website, we ensured ease of access to all services provided by the ministry to its esteemed clients, keeping in mind efficient and easy access to information. We look forward to receiving your feedback and comments, and remain at your service.”
