The Terror Crime Prosecution yesterday announced in a statement it referred three men suspected of possessing rifles, pistols and ammunitions to a criminal court.
Ahmed Al Hamadi, the attorney general of the terror crime prosecution, said in the statement the suspects had hidden three Kalashnikov rifles and four handguns, apart from ammunitions inside the home of the first accused.
All of them were unearthed during a police raid on it, he said.Al Hammadi explained that the suspects intended to use the weapons to 'obstruct the state authorities from carrying out their duty in maintaining peace and security across the country.’
He said the first accused had already confirmed during questioning that his co-accomplices had supplied him with all the seized weapons, except the fourth pistol that he obtained by himself.
