Rent at your own risk! Owners who rent out private vehicles illegally warned of possible dangers
In their quest to make additional revenues, many residents and citizens have been engaging in a dangerous act by giving their personal vehicles for rent or lease illegally.
They are putting themselves in legal risks by giving their personal vehicles for rent to strangers without caring for consequences, as a good number of these ‘customers’ would use them for illegal activities.
In most cases the residents find the lessee either online or through friends. “Various online websites that are used for buying and selling products are also used for finding such arrangements,” a source told Tribune.
“After negotiations, a monthly rent would be agreed upon. In other cases, they do not need to go online, they just check within their social circles to find a customer.”
