Sturdy partners in growth, Kingdom becomes the first country to receive a flight from the Kuwait International Airport’s newly-constructed Terminal 4
Bahrain was chosen as the destination for the first flight to take off from Kuwait International Airport’s newly-built Terminal 4(T4).
A flight from the neighboring country’s national carrier Kuwait Airways’ landed at Bahrain International Airport yesterday morning, making Bahrain the first country to receive a flight from the new $173.2m T4 wing.
Ministers and senior government officials from both countries were present at reception event at the Bahrain International Airport VIP longue yesterday morning.
The Minister of Finance, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received his Kuwaiti counterpart, Dr Nayef Falah Al Hajraf and his accompanying delegation. Shaikh Ahmed was accompanied by Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman and the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Kamal Ahmed, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah, and other officials.
