147 grad docs take exam for physician-training programme

One hundred and fourty seven granduate doctors turned up for an examination conducted by the Health Ministry's Training Department for physician-training vacancies at the ministry in October.
The exams aims to assess the interest of the candidates in the medical specialties provided by the ministry. Acting Head of Medical Education Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Suwaidi said interviews would be held next week for the candidates as the second step in the recruitment process.
The results will be announced by the end of August. Dr. Suwaidi said the Health Ministry is keen to speed up the enrollment process to start the training programme by early October. Dr. Suwaidi and Assistant Undersecretary for Training and Planning Dr. Mohammed Amin Al-Awadhi were present at the exam venue.
