Pak beautician finally unites with family

Manama

Pakistani beautician Husnul Maab, who had been waiting for her repatriation for the last few days, flew back to Pakistan on Friday. 24-year-old Husnul Maab came to work as a beautician in a salon here.

She worked for one-and-a-half month but her employer did not pay her due salary. She was mistreated in the salon by the employer and her colleagues. She was not given proper accommodation as promised.

Her employer took her to the police station and the police handed her over to the Pakistan Embassy. According to Community Welfare Counselor Maqsood Qadir Shah, Pakistan Ambassador Muhammad Saeed Khan monitored all the mediation process.

Pakistan Embassy contacted the sponsor of the Pakistani beautician and asked her to settle the issue on urgent basis, as it was not at all fair to prolong her stay at the shelter house. At last all the legal issues were settled and the community members also helped her in the arrangement of her transportation affairs.

Earlier, Husnul Maab remained a few days at the house of an embassy official. But later Migrant Workers Protection Society Chairperson Marietta Dias shifted her to their shelter house. As her repatriation was delayed, Pakistan Embassy had appealed that her issue must be solved on humanitarian grounds and with speedy trial.

Her family in Pakistan was also very much worried about her fate. They also were putting pressure on the embassy for her safe repatriation.
