Nakhool Garden attracts 20000 visitors in ten days

The wide range of events and activities, being organized in the Nakhool Garden as part of Bahrain Summer Festival, attracted over 20000 visitors in ten days, according to the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
The Nakhool Garden near Sitra Mall opens its doors in the evening with a diverse set of activities, divided over the four cultural weeks- Gulf week, Asian week, African week and European Week.
A number of workshops – on creating artworks from recycled materials, traditional gypsum carving, wood sculpting, photography, jewelry and accessories and paper quilling art – is being held for children as part of the Aisan Week, which started on August 7.
The week also has Palestinian Folklore music featuring ‘beit byout,’ organized in cooperation with the Palestinian Embassy in Bahrain.
The African week, from Aug 14 to 20, will present a Science and Environmental workshop, in association with the Planetarium Science Center in Egypt. There will be workshops on boat making, carrier trolley making, recycling art and traditional collage.
The last, European Week, from August 21 to 31, will have workshops on drawing cartoon characters, growing plants in glass, flower arrangement and origami, in addition to the many other activities that would refine the skills and creativity of children.
As part of Bahrain Summer Festival mesmerizing Japanese street dance troupe Wrecking Crew Orchestra will stage their show at the Cultural Hall on August 28 and 29. The 8-member band is known globally for its harmonious dance movements in the dark, wearing dark luminous clothes, to create surreal impressive visuals.
