Water cannon salute for GF’s first A320neo, the aircraft is first of the 12 A320neo aircraft ordered during Bahrain Airshow
Following its inaugural flight from France, Gulf Air’s first Airbus A320neo arrived at Bahrain International Airport yesterday afternoon. The airport welcomed the arrival of Gulf Air’s Airbus A320neo, which landed at the airport following its inaugural flight from the Airbus production facility in Toulouse, France.
With Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Krešimir Kuko and representatives from Airbus on board, the aircraft received a water cannon salute as it taxied to the terminal. In addition to its wide single aisle cabin, the A320neo incorporates the latest technologies including new generation engines and fuel-saving wingtip devices known as Sharklets, which together reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 15 per cent.
