Medical report dismisses ‘abused’ maid’s claims of genital mutilation
The housemaid who recently fled to the Philippines after accusing her employer of abuse has been diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and her claims of genital mutilation failed to stand up to medical scrutiny.
Despite her shocking claims of mutilation at the hands of her employer, no sign of genital or nipple mutilation was found during the examination.
However, medical examination revealed signs of possible physical abuse.
The Philippines embassy confirmed that every possible arrangement been made to assure assistance to the alleged victim. She is currently undergoing treatment at the St. Luke’s Medical Center.
