Man granted divorce from wife who attempted suicide
A Bahraini man filed a divorce suit against his wife at the High Shariat Court after she attempted to commit suicide, it was learnt. The woman is said to have taken a large dose of medicine apart from injuring her body using razors, claiming that she was trying to get rid of depression and sadness due to the negative ideas clouding her mind.
“My client married the defendant three months ago and he noticed that she was suffering from mental disorders. Therefore, he decided to divorce her,” the plaintiff’s lawyer Seham Sulaibeekh said.
