Teenagers on trial for rioting
The High Criminal Court has begun hearing the case of three teenagers accused of rioting. The defendants, aged 16, 17 and 18 years, were put on trial for allegedly taking part in a riot which broke out in Nuwaidrat.
They were arrested at the scene while trying to flee when police officers arrived. The first defendant is said to have attacked police officers when they tried to nab him. He, however, got stumbled by a stone and got injured after falling on the ground.
