Water garden to be a major tourist attraction
The water garden project in the Capital is all set to be a major tourist attraction. Speaking to Tribune, the Chairman of the Board of the Capital Secretariat Council, Mohammed Ali Al Kozae said that detailed additions were made to the project after implementing the initial design.
“The changes were followed by the directives of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa and other officials where we did not just want to make it just another common park. “We wanted to turn it into a greener botanical site with unique trees and plants with the initiative towards the development of the Agricultural Sector.
“The date of the project completion remains unchanged. By September 2019 the park will be operational but with merely new changes and improvements made to the site which in turn will serve as a major tourist attraction. “Moreover, the water garden revamp project has been divided into two phases. Phase one in which 300,000 BD were allocated included rebuilding the fence, guard room and electricity station room.”
Capital Secretariat Council Vice Chairman Mazen Ahmed Alumran said the changes were made to make water garden a major touristic landmark and make it greener and unique compared to other parks in the Kingdom.
