Prostitution ring members jailed
A prostitution ring, comprising five Asian men and 10 Asian women were arrested for allegedly engaging in prostitution apart from running a brothel, according to police records.
Sources said the gang held up several women against their will and forced them into prostitution. The ring was dismantled after an Asian woman reported to police that she was locked up in a Manama building, where she was pushed into having sex with strangers in exchange for money.
Following her complaint, police officers raided the building and arrested the people involved in the ring. “I came to Bahrain to work as a maid five months ago. And during this time, I befriended an Asian man who told me that he was capable of finding me another job opportunity. I gave him my number,” the Asian woman said.
