MoH directed to purchase high-quality medicines

The Cabinet yesterday chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa emphasised the need to verify the quality and safety requirements while purchasing medicines. “All standards set by the World Health Organisation must be taken into account while purchasing medicines,” the Cabinet directed the Health Ministry.

The Health Minister informed the session about measures taken by the Health Ministry to ensure the purchase of best quality medicines. Among other things, HRH the Premier lauded the outstanding success of this year’s Hajj, thanking the tremendous efforts exerted by brotherly Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

HRH Premier praised the distinguished services and facilities provided by the Saudi government for pilgrims, which ensured easy rituals for them and resulted in a highly successful Hajj season by all standards. The Premier, within the framework of his unwavering keenness on developing infrastructure across the Kingdom’s regions, towns and villages, directed the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to continue improving services and rehabilitating infrastructure in Janusan, including car parks, roads and public gardens.

The session approved a draft resolution on regulating the technical requirements for sending, receiving and updating electronic records and signatures for official entities, in light of the recommendation of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs, which was outlined in the memorandum presented by the Deputy Premier and the Committee chairman.
