Road projects to ensure smooth flow of traffic
The Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry has implemented several road projects to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of students, as part of its preparations for the new school year, the ministry said in a press release issued. Director of Projects and Roads Maintenance, Sayed Badr Alawi, said the ministry had prepared a plan to implement a number of vital projects near schools to avoid traffic jams and provide a secure environment for students and other road users. Works included paving Road 1434 near the Hamad Town Intermediate Boys’ School in Hamad Town and revamped Road 1601 near the Omar bin Abdulaziz School in Halat Bu Maher in Muharraq, he said.
