Seminar to probe men’s role in empowering women at workplace

Gender equality in the workplace and the steps men can take for woman’s empowerment will be at the core of discussions at a high profile event to be hosted in Bahrain tomorrow.

Men’s role in addressing gender disparity issues in the workplace will be discussed at C5 Accelerate’s ‘C5 Nebula: Men’s role in furthering woman in the workplace’ event to be held tomorrow. An official from the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism confirmed that Zayed Al Zayani, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism will be one of the speakers for the event. The event will host several key Bahraini officials from different sectors.

A panel consisting of Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Political and Economic Advisor to HRH the Crown Prince’s Court and Chairman of Tamkeen and Khalid Al Rumaihi, CE of the Economic Development Board (EDB) will be the highlight during the event. The panel will be hosted by Hadyah Fathalla, Executive Director of C5 Accelerate.

“Gender disparity in the workplace and in tech especially is a global issue and men can play an instrumental role in addressing these challenges,” C5 Accelerate stated. “We are planning to discuss men’s role in furthering women in the workplace and how men can contribute to creating inclusive and diverse work environments.” The event will be held tomorrow at The Ritz Carlton.
