Aster DM Healthcare, one of the fastest-expanding healthcare companies in the GCC, has launched its operations in Bahrain marking a new era of quality and affordable healthcare in the Kingdom.

The group, with its 28 years of healthcare expertise and a network of 260 establishments across eight countries including, hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, is expanding its GCC presence with the opening of its first multi-specialty Aster Medical Centre to offer exemplary primary healthcare to the residents of Bahrain.

The Aster Medical Centre opening in Gudaibiya will bring affordable and convenient medical care within reach of one of the densest population areas in Bahrain with over 500,000 inhabitants, of which 67 per cent are expatriates.

This marks the first of a number of investments from Aster DM Healthcare into Bahrain and the GCC in general as the company continues to increase its geographical footprint and cater to the growing demand for healthcare requirements and quality service by adding new hospitals, medical centres and pharmacies by 2017, with investment over US$ 136 million.

While the group’s international expansion is in line with its vision of quality healthcare, the company aims to transform the healthcare system of the community it operates in, by bringing advanced medical care of the highest quality to the residents at affordable cost delivered through qualified health practitioners.

Our first family multi-specialty Aster Medical Centre in Bahrain, which marks our 50th centre across the GCC includes an investment of approximately US$ 2 million. The group’s first venture in Bahrain will serve as the ‘friendly neighborhood family clinic’. The multi-specialty clinic will include Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, ENT, Dermatology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Dentistry, General Medicine supported by paramedic services including Physiotherapy, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Laboratory, Audiology & Speech therapy and Pharmacy.
