ANIMANIA convention returns for eighth year

ANIMANIA Convention, Bahrain’s largest event celebrating anime, graphic novels manga, gaming, and pop culture is back with its eighth edition offering a wide range of programmes, which consist of cosplay events, vendors, artists’ alley, panels and workshops, game shows, anime video screenings, and karaoke.

The event is scheduled to take place on September 28 and 29 at the Bahrain International Circuit. Speaking to Tribune, Hassanain Murtadha Marketing Manager of the fest, said, “Animania is the first and biggest annual anime, video games, movies, comics and pop culture convention being held in Bahrain.

The event will include guest celebrities, international YouTubers, video game tournaments, tabletop games, card games, movie previews, comic book stalls, and a highly anticipated cosplayer competition. “The event is annually attended by Middle Eastern artists and game developers who usually showcase their work at the convention.”

“The initiative behind the event is to create a safe hub in our kingdom for all gamers and anime fanatics to openly communicate their ideas with others who share their interests while competing in order to win competitions. “The aim of the event ultimately is to have fun and have a platform for individuals who have a like-minded interest.”
