47,000 new voters, 424,000 citizens eligible to vote in the upcoming elections
More number of voters will exercise their democratic rights in the upcoming elections compared to last time, it emerged. According to a survey, 424,000 citizens are eligible to vote in the 2018 parliament and municipal council elections scheduled to commence on November 24.
Candidates can file their nominations from October 17 until October 21. The survey said 47,000 new voters will elect their representatives to the 40-member parliament and municipal councils.
More number of women candidates is also expected to fight the electoral battle this time, according to sources.
