‘Committee for peace’ holds working meeting

A working meeting of the committee consisting of Nobel Peace Prize winners was held here yesterday in the presence of Mohammed Al Mutawa, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Shaikh Hossam bin Isa Al Khalifa with members of the delegation of Nobel Peace Prize winners who recently visited the Kingdom.

The meeting was also attended by Lorena Varela, the first lady, and wife of the President of the Republic of Panama and Kerry Kennedy. Shaikh Hossam conveyed the greetings of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to members of the committee and wished them success in their endeavors for a world of love and peace.

He stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to extend bridges of communication and cooperation with international organizations in various fields, in the belief of the importance of international action in achieving the common goals and objectives of serving humanity. Shaikh Hossam also highlighted the importance of the visit by the Nobel Peace Prize laureates to the Kingdom and their fruitful meetings with His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

He stressed that the visit was a historic opportunity to brief these elite leaders of the Kingdom’s achievements in the development and progress. It has also shown that the Kingdom enjoys the coexistence, cultural diversity and modernity, as it was an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with members of the delegation in light of their experiences pilot.
