Verdict date set in vice den case
The Lower Criminal Court has set November 14, 2018, as the date to issue its verdict in the swimming pool-turned prostitution den case.
The defendants accused of running the prostitution den were earlier released on bail, pending the outcome of their trial. The defendants were detained after a video footage showing semi-naked women and men dressed like women went viral on SnapChat.
The place was raided after its location was identified through the SnapChat map feature. The pool property was used as a cover to carry out prostitution, according to court details.
The video that went viral also showed men drinking alcohol and smoking sheesha, which is against the rules of operating swimming pools.
