Room for innovation
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister yesterday launched Bahrain’s first Government innovation competition (Fikra), which offers public sector employees the opportunity to put forward their suggestions on innovation and development of government services via digital platforms.
The initiative, which was spearheaded by the Government Executive Committee led by HRH the Crown Prince, was launched at the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince highlighted that the innovation competition represents a new milestone in promoting excellence across key sectors.
HRH the Crown Prince also highlighted that expanding public sector employees’ contribution to government services innovation is a testament to Bahrain’s commitment to continue placing citizens at the heart of sustainable development efforts.
