Bahraini teenager’s plea dismissed in murder trial

A Bahraini teenager, aged 19, convicted of killing another teenager after accusing him of being a police informant, has had his appeals rejected by the High Appeals Court.

The defendant was sentenced earlier to five years behind bars for his role in the crime. The appellant was among the four who were tried and found guilty for killing Ahmed Musa, aged 17.

Two of them were sentenced to 25 years each in prison for torture, abduction, and theft by the High Criminal Court, while the 19-year-old and the victim’s friend, aged 18, were sentenced to five years and three years respectively for aiding and abetting.
