Brothers lose appeals in drug peddling case
Manama : Two brothers involved in peddling drugs have had their appeals rejected by the High Appeals Court. The first one was earlier sentenced to 10 years in prison, while his co-suspect was given three years in jail. The first defendant fell into the police net following a tip-off received.
He was arrested by the anti-drug officers after an undercover agent assigned to lure him managed to convince him to sell him BD100 worth of hashish at a location in the Isa Town. Anti-drug police officers who were monitoring the operation quickly pounced on him when he was about to leave the location.
