Twins nabbed for possessing hashish

A Bahraini man suspected of peddling drugs attributed BD41,000 discovered from his house to selling prawns while his twin brother denied links to BD15,000 found hidden in his room.

Their house was raided after the police received a tip-off about the twins possessing drugs with an intent to sell and consume. Police officers are said to have attempted to nab the twins many a time but several undercover agents failed to convince them to sell drugs. And the Public Prosecution issued a warrant to search their home to determine the validity of claims.

“When we arrived, one of the twins (the second defendant) tried to flee after serious resistance. When we searched we found that he had hashish with him. His car had three big covers of hashish weighing about three kilograms,” one of the police officers who inspected their house told prosecutors.
