Three cleared of drug peddling charges
Three Pakistani men escaped tough punishments after the High Criminal Court cleared them of peddling drugs, but they were convicted of consuming.
The defendants fell into police net after one of them was nabbed with 41 shabu stuffed cigarettes hidden in his trousers.
Although they were charged with selling and consuming drugs, the prosecution did not have enough evidence to prove the first accusation.
However, saliva tests revealed that they were consuming drugs. They were sentenced to six months behind bars followed by immediate deportation.
