Flat6Labs graduates eight startups @ Demo Day

Flat6Labs Bahrain hosted its first Demo Day at The Bahrain Cultural Hall where eight startups showcased their businesses. Flat6Labs Bahrain is one of the key startup accelerator programmes in the MENA region that is poised to support and invest in more than 40 local and international startups and entrepreneurs over the next three years. The first cycle received over 150 applications from more than 30 countries which were then narrowed down to a final selection of eight Startups.

Throughout the four-month intensive developmental programme, they were given access to world-class trainers, mentors and coaches as well as a host of perks, office space, legal support and company registration in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Chief Executive of Tamkeen Dr Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi said, “This is a great opportunity to invest in the development of startups.”

“Taking part in Flat6Labs programme provides entrepreneurs access to an extensive experience towards the best international practices in business development,” Dr Janahi added. “It presents an opportunity for startups to secure follow-on funding from investors which will help them scale their businesses into the region,” said Ramez El-Serafy, CEO of Flat6Labs.
