Maid ‘traps boyfriend’ in theft case
A housemaid allegedly trapped her Bangladeshi boyfriend in a theft case after asking him to withdraw money using a Visa Card, which she had stolen from her sponsor.
The woman fled the Kingdom after asking her boyfriend to withdraw BD200 using the card, for which he landed in police net, according to court details. “I received an SMS saying BD200 was withdrawn using my card. I went to the bank and confirmed that the money was stolen and I informed the police,” the victim told prosecutors.
The Bangladeshi man was arrested after CCTV cameras installed inside the ATM established his identity. And he revealed to prosecutors the full story.
