BKS event to raise funds to rebuild flood-hit Kerala
The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) will hold a ten-day programme titled ‘Harmony - Walk with Kerala’ in support of rebuilding the southern Indian state of Kerala, which was hit by severe floods and landslides a few months ago.
This was announced by BKS President P V Radhakrishna Pillai at a press conference yesterday. Indian politician K S Sabarinadhan will inaugurate the programme ‘Walk with Kerala’ on Thursday. The finale is scheduled for October 19 wherein Kerala Electricity Minister M M Mani will be the chief guest.
“Harmony is being convened as a fundraising event for helping those flood victims and the ruling family has been kind enough to grant us permission to issue donor passes for the programme. The 10- day event includes a musical night by Indian singer S P Balasubrahmanyam and KS Chithra.” “Renowned poet V Madhusoodanan Nair will be the chief guest and Guru for the Vidyarambham scheduled to be held at 5 am on 19 October 2018.”
