Deputy King reorganises Finance Ministry
Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday reorganised the Ministry of Finance by issuing decree No. 47/2018. As per article one of the decree, Finance minister will be responsible for the Public Debt Management Directorate, the Future Generation Reserve Council and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance will oversee the Audit and Follow up Directorate, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information, the Human and Financial Resource Directorate, the Financial Information Directorate and the Government Property Affairs Directorate Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs will handle the Budget Directorate, the Project Directorate, the Treasury Directorate and the Financial Systems Development Directorate Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs will be responsible for the Foreign Economic Relations Directorate, the Directorate of Government Investments and the Privatization and Outsourcing Directorate Assistant Undersecretary for Development and Revenue Policies will manage the Public Development Revenue Directorate, the Public and Policy Revenue Directorate and the Financial Information Directorate Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Financial Services will oversee the Internal Audit Unit, the Centralised Unit for Public Purchases and the Central Competencies Directorate.
The decree also states that a number of financial resource managers will be assigned to supervise joint financial services across government departments Article Two of the decree states that the Cabinet shall issue orders regulating the joint financial services in line with the Civil Service Bureau’s standards and requirements.
