16 Asians jailed in theft case
Sixteen Asian men convicted in a cable theft case have been sentenced to two years behind bars each, followed by immediate deportation from the Kingdom.
The defendants are said to have stolen cables worth over BD one million from one of the defunct factories in Hidd.
The theft was revealed by the Criminal Investigation Department chief, who announced in a statement the arrest of the convicted men after investigations were launched.
