Ambitious of going to heaven, Asian man goes to jail!
A Bangladeshi man met three clerics in Dhaka Airport while he was waiting for his flight to Bahrain, and they gave him five religious books, the court heard. They asked him to deliver them to a man in Bahrain, pledging that he would certainly go to heaven for the “noble act”.
However, a few hours later, the customs officers in the Kingdom arrested the Bangladeshi man for bid to smuggle marijuana into the Kingdom. The accused was put on trial before the High Criminal Court which will issue its ruling in the case on November 21, 2018. “I was asked to deliver the books.
I didn’t know it contained marijuana packets. The three clerics promised me that I would go to heaven for delivering the books,” the defendant told police officers.
